Johnny Depp filming The Rum Diary in Puerto Rico!

Well, last weekend filming for Johnny Depp's new film, The Rum Diary, started San Juan, Puerto Rico and of course there are already so many great pictures around. Let me tell you that one thing is sure: Johnny's looking good! Tannes, smiling, nicely dressed, he has got the look (although some people mutter they combed his hair in a weird way.) I have 10 days off now because today was the last day of school and we have Easter holidays now! *yay* *bouncy*
Now, this will be my last post for a week, because in three hours I'll be sitting on some train on my 8 hour-long way to Germany, because I'll spend the next 7 days with my grandparents from there. My sister will be with me on the train, she's visiting our cousin and it happens that we have to take the same one. It's cool, because it's a long way and an over-night train, so, a very slow one, and If I was alone it could easily become boring but now I can talk to someone. Will arrive there early tomorrow morning and can't wat! I'm sure we'll have a lovely time.
I'll be back home on Saturday morning next week.

Happy 61st Birthday, Steven Tyler!!!

Right you lot! Today's a very special day, 'cause today we (meaning all us Aeroheads) celebrate the life of the one and only Mr. Steven Tyler! And, as you may have guessed from the headline of this bit, I'd like to dedicate today's little post to the Deamon of Screamin' himself!!

The Bad Boys from Boston's frontman was born Steven Victor Tallarico on March 26, 1948 in Yonkers, New York. He is of Italian, German, Ukrainian and Cherokee descent and in 1996 he attended a local rock concert in Sunapee, New Hampshire where he first met future bandmembers Joe Perry (guitar) and Tom Hamilton (bass). Aerosmith was born and Steven Tyler, with his insanely sexy looks, his screamer voice and his trademark sign of colourful scarves dangling from his microphone stand all the time and any place, was to become one of the greatest frontman in rock history ever.




Last year, Rolling Stone magazine voted him #99 of the 100 best singers ever. Considering there are so many other brilliant ones out there, and considering so many people - not me, of course -think Tyler can't sing, this is pretty cool.


So let's raise a glass to the f*cking greatest and most acrobatic rock singer in the world. I wish him all the best and lots of love and I am VERY confident the new Aerosmith album, which is in the works right now, AND the upcoming tour following its release, will be - literally - the ultimate Screamer!!!

Yesterday 24 years ago, on March 18 1985, Theodora was born first daughter to Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards and topmodel Patti Hansen in London, England.

As Theo is probably my favourite model of all my favourites *gg*, I'd just like to wish her a very Happy belated Birthday!!

Too bad I couldn't be online yesterday to post this in time, however, I hope her birthday was rockin' and she had a great party! I'm sure she did!

I wish her all the best & much love for the year to come and hope she will achieve whatever it is she'd like to succeed in.

Anticipating Summer - We get by with a little help from Theo!

First and foremost, I admit I haven't posted in ages. So much has been happening in the past few weeks and in the end I'm afraid I simply forgot.

Meanwhile, I had my first exams of this term, I was skiing in Salzburg with my dad and sister for a weekend (It was lovely!! Wonderful weather: sunny, warm, fresh snow! and lots of nice people!!) and last weekend when I went to the movies to see "Yes Man" my handbag was stolen during the film. I discovered it when we wanted to leave and it was a bugger! All my passes, my cellphone and my money were in there. Went to the police the next day so that I can get my passes back for free, though.

Well, we have March now. The sun's getting warmer on your skin, the snow is almost entirely gone and t's raining a lot - around here, that is. So, now that we're approaching spring time everything's waking up. So am I. I just adore warm weather, spring and summer and I have been dying to go to the beach or to the pool again, getting sun-tanned and all the other amazing things like this.

Since summer is still so far away, however, there's nothing left to do than staring at pictures of the ocean and a beach with lotrs of palm trees and imagining you were there.

Now, how good that my favourite model Theodora Richards is helping me along with that (and looking good!)

She's recently been spotted on a beach down in Miami, enjoying the day with her younger sister Alexandra.

The article that featured these pictures (Daily Mail - March 10) accused Theo of being much too thin with "jutting hip bones and skinny shoulders" and a "shrinking figure"! Hello? She's such a tiny girl and she doesn't look unhealthy at all! It's just her natural frame, the way her body is built (what an awesome body!!!). I think she's so beautiful! I love her so much!!

Note how Theo and Alex' bikinis even match a little, that's so cute.

Uschi Obermaier

Uschi Obermaier was an actress, photomodel, protagonist of the 1968 left-wing movement in Germany and is regarded as an iconic sex-symbol of the 1968 generation in Europe. She was born in Munich on September 24th, 1946 and was discovered by TWEN magazine. Thin and petite just like Twiggi, she represented a new type of model. Obermaier moved from Munich to the Berlin-based Kommune 1 after she had become Rainer Langhans' girlfriend. Langhans and Obermaier freely talked to the media about their relationship, becoming symbols of the sexual revolution.
Uschi is considered one of the first and best known German groupies of the 60s (she's had affairs with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones as well as Jimi Hendrix - it even went so far that Keith and Uschi ended up falling really in love and he is said to even have considered leaving his common-law wife Anita Pallenberg for Uschi).
In 1973, Uschi Obermaier fell in love with Dieter Bockhorn, the wealthy owner of a club in Hamburg's Reeperbahn red-light district (she now was in love with two men at the same time, Dieter and Keith, and was always torn between the more personally fulfilling relationship with Dieter and the exciting and very sexual life with Richards). Together, Bockhorn and Obermaier traveled the world in a customized bus, first spending three years in Asia, then going to Mexico and the US for another three years. In an Interview (Galore, Issue 25) Obermaier marked reports that she and Bockhorn had a traditional wedding in every country they traveled in as completely fictitious. They only married once, in India. After ten years their relationship ended abruptly. On New Year's Eve 1983, Dieter Bockhorn died in a motorcycle accident in Mexico. About a week earlier she had met Keith Richards at the beach they were staying at in Baja - the first time since she had eventually left and abandoned him crashed out in a Chicago hotel room 8 years earlier, in 1975, after Bockhorn had called to invite her to join him on his trip to Asia. Richards had come to Mexico to get married to Patti Hansen. Uschi would later say "in that single week in Mexico I have irrevocably lost the two most important men in my life."
By then, Uschi Obermaier had been granted American citizenship. Today, she lives in Topanga Canyon near Los Angeles, working as a jewellery designer.
Her life has been depicted in a biopic called Das Wilde Leben (the english title is Eight Miles High), based on the bestselling book High Times: Mein Wildes Leben, an authorized biography of Obermaier's life, written by Olaf Kraemer, who also wrote the screenplay to Eight Miles High.

The movie, in which German actress Natalia Avelon portrays Uschi, was directed by Achim Bornhak and was released in February 2007.

Sophomore S/S 2009 ad campaign

This are the pics from the look book of Sophomore NYC's ad campaign for their Spring/Summer 2009 collection.

It features It-girls/models Cory Kennedy, Alexandra Richards, Harley Viera Newton and Lizzie Trullie and was shot by Cass Bird.

The ads have a very youthful and playful touch to them which I think is down to the fact that the photographer shot the campaign while the girls were simply hanging about a Manhattan pool, enjoying themselves.

And I enjoy looking at the photos just as much as the models seem to having had a good time together. I hope you do, too.
